Booker Tate Holdings

In 1988, Booker plc and Tate & Lyle plc, two major international food production and trading companies, merged their agro-industrial and project management businesses to create a jointly owned company, Booker Tate Limited. In October 2004 Tsb Sugar took full ownership of the company and it is now a subsidiary of Tsb Sugar International. Based in the United Kingdom, Booker Tate's mainstream business is the provision of development, management and technical services to the international sugar industry. Although Booker Tate has provided services to a vast range of agribusiness companies in the past, the present focus of its activities is on sugar-producing companies.

Booker Tate employs over 70 permanent staff members, including a core of head office-based specialists. The total establishment includes project and corporate managers, agronomists, agricultural engineers, irrigation and civil engineers, mechanical, electrical, chemical and instrumentation engineers, sugar technologists, human resource and training specialists, accountants, financial analysts, economists and information technology specialists. Additionally Booker Tate is able to draw on a wide network of specialists throughout the sugarcane producing world.
